SONY: CHILD OF ICE

Chapter One
The boy was much younger than Alex had thought he would be, his blonde curls flopped over his eyes, they were the first thing he noticed about him, they were almost see though, with a hint of blue, the blue got darker around the edges, they never moved, as if they were frozen in place. You would have thought these eyes seemed cold but they were not, they only seemed innocent. His clothes were baggy, he wore scruffy jeans, a black hoodie, his sunglasses lay on the ground, the lens cracked. Blood dripped down his pale face, it flowed over his cracked lips, and into his mouth. He spat it out, his mouth pulling back into a snarl. I looked into his eyes again, innocent, but his face was contorted in rage, his hands clenched into fists, his knuckles scared from the punches he’d just thrown. His mouth turned into a large grin. Alex thought then he’d speak but instead he opened his mouth and screamed. Alex clamped his hands over his ears and cried out silently, he felt as if his ears drums would burst. He looked around at the other soldiers, collapsed on the floor, he guessed they were screaming but he could only here that noise. The boy had stopped screaming but the sound flowed into his ears as if his mouth was still open wide. The boy walked past us, his smile gone but a look of determination on his face. He took a few steps and he walked into something, a barrier but only Alex saw this, he saw how the sun reflected off its clear edges, and when the boy was flown back 20 metres into the air, he new why. And he smiled to himself. He waved his hand in the air, muttering something under his breath, the noise disappeared. Alex suddenly realised the boy standing over him his icy eyes staring down into his own.
“My names Sony,” he spoke gruffly although that could have been caused by the blood that was spilling out of his mouth, he had a very English accent, “What’s yours?”
“Alex.” He gasped as Sony’s knee slammed into his face, his nose cracked, blood poured down his chin, droplets of blood dripped by Sony’s black boots.
“That hurt,” He growled. Alex dived to the floor as Sony’s fist narrowly missed his head.
“It was meant to,” Sony smiled coldly. Alex shook his head wearily wondering how such a beautiful, innocent looking boy ended up so broken and twisted. He looked into those eyes again, such sadness filled them. Alex started to rise to his feet when a shot resounded in the air, one of the soldiers stood gun in hand, staring at Sony’s back in hatred, his face contorted in rage. Sony turned his back to Alex. He sighed, Peering over at his shoulder at were the bullet had pierced his skin.
“That is my favourite top, in fact it is my only top.” Suddenly the soldier was swept off his feet by seemingly invisibly forces, the others stared up at him in a mixture of awe and horror, Sony’s eyes were now like pools of darkness blacker than the night sky, as if all shadows in the world flooded into his eyes, The man was dead before he reached the floor and Sony’s eyes returned to the normal icy state. Alex stood now gathering energy from inside of him, he frowned in concentration. Sony ran, moving so fast any human eye could barely see him. He stopped when he reached the barrier, he clutched at his stomach, were the silver bullet burnt him from the inside, but he showed no signs of being in any pain. Sony closed his eyes as Alex watched, gathering ever more energy to thwart him. An idea struck Alex one that Sony would not be expecting, Alex pulled some gloves out from his pocket, he put them on then produced two silver bands from his coat, he walked over to Sony studying him carefully. Now He ran towards him. Sony spun round but just a second to late, Alex used his magic to clamp the silver around his wrist, Sony screamed when they touched his skin, collapsing to the floor, the silver was so heavy on him it literally dragged him down to the ground.
“Fuck!” he screamed. The blood spilled over the silver bands burning into his flesh; he suppressed a scream. Alex clamped a hand over Sony’s mouth and nose, the boy kicked out at him but he ignored the pain and pinched the boys nose together so Sony was forced to breath in the sickly poison on the wizards hand. The boy became limp in his arms, his sparkling eyes hidden behind his drooping eyelids. Alex breathed a sigh of incomprehensible relief. He had him. It wasn’t a dream. He’d really done it, he’d caught the un-catchable, unstoppable…Sony.
